  • Roadmap 2033 will be a long-term strategy for the community broadcasting sector that will outline the steps needed to achieve outcomes we want to see for the sector and the communities we serve. Unlike an organisation-specific strategic plans, Roadmap 2033 will include actions each part of the community broadcasting sector can take to help us realise our collective vision. In addition, it will have a long-term focus and use a ten-year horizon.

  • Roadmap 2033 is sponsored jointly by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA) and the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF).

    THINK: Insight & Advice, led by Managing Director Randall Pearce, is responsible for the development and delivery of the roadmap, working in conjunction with the CBAA and CBF to facilitate discussion with stakeholders.

  • Roadmap 2033 will be relevant for the entire sector; including peak bodies such as the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF), other members of the Community Broadcasting Sector Roundtable, and individual community broadcasters.

    It will also be a useful resource in engaging with state and federal governments, serving as a communication tool that will communicate our shared values and explain our plans to prospective funders and collaborators.

  • Roadmap 2033 will be produced through successive rounds of co-design with sector leaders and station representatives. This will take place through three deliberative forums and iterative rounds of consultation.

    In April, everyone will have their chance to have a say. We will release a Discussion Paper for comment. We will invite groups of broadcasters to get together, have a chat, and submit answers to the questions posed. Individuals are also welcome to add their voice.

    Literally hundreds of sector participants will determine the content of Roadmap 2033. It will be a document created by and for the Community Broadcasting Sector.

  • It is important Roadmap 2033 reflects a shared vision of a diversity of stakeholders across the Sector and beyond.

    Community Broadcasting Sector Roundtable member organisations are all participating in the process as well as other sector representative bodies. Broader consultation will follow the publication of a Discussion Paper issued in April.
